Extra Ordinaire Chocolate Brownies
A 250g softened cream cheese
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
B 160g unsweetened chocolate ( I used Berryl's Dark Chocholate)
½ cup butter
1 cup sugar ( I used 3/4 cup)
C ¾ cup flour
½ ts baking powder
¼ cup slices almonds
- Preheat oven at 180C .
- Melt ingredients B in a pan over a medium fire. Let cool
- Combine ingreadients A in a mixing bowl, set aside.
- In a separate bowl (C)beat in the eggs add in sugar and add in the cooled chocolate mixture.
- Pour half of the chocolate batter into a greased 21cm square pan.(I used 9 inch pan)
- Spread the cream cheese mix on top of the chocolate mixture.
- Add in almonds to the remaining chocolate batter and pour into the pan.
- Bake for 45mins or until the satay sticks comes out clean when you poke into the brownies.
